SKU: A00472 Category:

Description: Douglas Jerrold (1803-1857), the British dramatist and writer, writes in wonderfully calligraphic hand to a friend apologizing ("my present arrangements do not allow me to entertain the idea of visiting") and tells him he is looking forward to the time when he will be able to see him again. On a sheet of paper measuring roughly 7 1/4" x 9" that has been folded in half. Item# A00472.

Condition: There are several fold lines and some minor offsetting and bleed through of the ink (minimally distracting). The last blank page has light soil (especially at fold lines) and evidence at all four corners of having previously been mounted in an album.
