Description: This graphically exciting poster is one of the original run of 4000 printed. It is signed in the lithographic plate. Apparently half the run was printed in Germany and the Hockney “signature” is in the image area. The other half of the run was printed in the U.S. and the “signature” is below the image.

The poster is titled “Olympische Spiele Munchen 1972” and at the lower left is stated: “Edition Olympia 1972 GmbH 1970 Matthieu AG Zurich”. Edition Olympia was a joint venture of the Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXth Olympiad Munich 1972 and the publishing house F. Bruckmann KG Munich.
