Description: This loosely handled etching and aquatint is reminiscent of the work of Joseph Pennell and Frank Brangwyn. It is titled and signed in graphite at the lower margin: “Municipal Arch, Manhattan Rose Crosman.”
Rose Crosman (1887-1961), painter and printmaker, was active in Chicago, Illinois. She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was a member of the Chicago Society of Etchers.
