Description
Description: A spectacular group albumen photograph of fifty-one members of the Long Island Wheelmen. Several members are identified in pencil on the mount including future New York Supreme Court Justice Charles Luscomb. The Club was organized 1882 and housed at 1281 Bedford Ave., Brooklyn.
The photographer, Lewis Morris, is identified on the mount with his studio in West Brighton, Staten Island. Gilded beveled edge mount measures 11" x 14". Item #P00066.
Condition: There are a few minor flaws, small chips to photo paper edge at upper left, a one inch tear upper right and a spot of blue ink identifying one of the members, but generally very good.
