Description: This charming impressionist landscape by Anna Brewster is titled on the verso on two gallery labels: “Light Airs Over Ramsey Hill”. There is a Winthrop Gallery label which indicates this is #21 in Brewster’s Book of Sketches and was painted circa 1901-09.

Sight size: 8 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. Framed in a “modern” gilded frame to: 14 1/2″ x 18 1/2″. A brass plaque is affixed to the frame: “Anna Richards Brewster 1870-1952”. Painting is unsigned on the recto. We have not taken it out of its frame to see if it is signed on the verso. Item #FA00445

Anna Richards Brewster, American painter, studied with William Merritt Chase and John LaFarge at the Art Students League of NY. She exhibited her works at the Royal Academy of Arts and the National Academy.

Condition: Very good condition.
