Description: This whimsical trompe l’oeil etching was the 1983-84 annual print for the Print Club of Albany. It is titled, editioned, and signed in graphite on the lower blank margin: “Make Believe 16/50 Sexauer ’83 NYC”.

Donald R. Sexauer (1932-2003) was chairman of the printmaking department and acting dean at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. His prints are in the collection of numerous prominent institutions, e.g. Boston Public Library, New York Public Library, Smith College, etc.

Platemark: 15 3/4″ x 12″ on a 21″ x 17″ sheet of arches paper. Item #PR00680

Condition: Fine condition (photos have some shadows…paper is perfectly clean).
