Description: In this brief, friendly letter to a fan Plotkin writes in full: “Dear Mr. Mahoney, I was very pleased to hear that you enjoyed my illustrations in ‘the Age of Innocence.’ I would be very happy to autograph your book for you. My address is: 126 Wooleye Lane Great Neck, New York 11023, Sincerely, Barnett Plotkin.” The letter is dated December 2nd, 1976 and is written on the back of a Caesar Rodney commemorative postcard that has the printed Poughkeepsie, NY address for a Tom Mahoney and circular Flushing, NY postal cancellation.

Barnett Plotkin (1932-2003) was an American artist known for his book illustrations, and especially for his cover illustrations for the American editions of James Bond novels in the 1980’s.

Condition: Slight creases at upper right corner and some light overall soil from being mailed, otherwise very good condition.
