Description

Description: This 42-page revised script for the 23rd episode (“Nobody Here But Us Chickens”) of the situational comedy, The Phyllis Diller Show (originally the Pruitts of Southampton), is signed on the cover with the sentiment “Best Wishes! Phyllis Diller.” The script probably belonged to the set decorator, Jack Moore, whose name is on the cover page and on page 5. Some passages are underlined and initialled, “J. T.”  The show was ABC’s attempt to turn Phyllis Diller into a stand-up comedian much like Lucille Ball. The revised portions of the script are on blue (as opposed to the white) pages.

Printed 8 ½” x 11” script held together with a gold round-head fastener on the top left corner. The cover pages are soft, yellow paper boards. Information about the writer and production company, etc., of the episode is printed on the front cover.
