Typed letter signed is on an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ sheet of “Doubleday, Doran and Company” stationery. Includes postally used transmittal envelope. Item #A01979

William Somerset Maugham (1874-1965), English novelist and playwright, is most remembered for his novels Of Human Bondage, Cakes & Ale, The Moon and Sixpence, and The Razor’s Edge.

Condition: Letter has light soil and several creases. Maugham’s signature is clear and bold. Envelope hastily torn open and has remnants of mounting on verso.
