Description: Edward M. House (1858-1938), an American diplomat and adviser to President Woodrow Wilson, signed this typed letter dated August 24, 1932 in which he discusses his esteemed opinion of Wilson as a President. House professes in part: “In my opinion, he will rank in the course of years with Washington and Lincoln. He had the opportunity and was equal to it, just as Washington and Lincoln had opportunities and met them.”

Typed on an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of stationery that is blindstamped: “Edward M. House, Austin, Texas”. Item #A01483

Condition: Fold lines, mounting remnants on verso, rectangular patch of toning on recto. Generally very good condition with a large signature.
