Lynn Fontanne (1887-1983), an English actress, and Alfred Lunt (1892-1977), an American actor, together known as “The Lunts” co-starred in Broadway and West End productions for four decades. They were celebrated on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1964, they were presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Lyndon Johnson. Their closest friend was the witty and comedic English playwright Noel Coward. His play Design for Living was based on the rumored relations between them.

Condition: Mounted to a larger piece of thin cardstock. In good condition.
