Description

Description: This wonderfully detailed atlas has 23 double-page maps of Mechanicville, New York,  with bits of the adjacent Stillwater and Schaghticoke. As is common with these fire insurance maps they were regularly updated by pasting over lot, road, etc. changes. This atlas is no exception, and has a “Correction Record” glued to the final map/index page. It indicates additions were made in 1939, 1944, 1949, and 1954.

Atlas measures 21″ x 13 1/2″ and is published by the Sanborn Map Company of Pelham, NY. Item #AM00315

Condtion: The atlas is well-worn, with the boards chipped and stained. Many of the maps are chipped and darkened at the fore-edge. All the maps are puckered from the many glued-in updates. Generally good only condition with all the maps intact and colors still bright.
