Description: On this postcard sent to Leo Goodkind Esq. of St. Paul, Minnesota, Zangwill writes “What’s the use of American stamps? I Zangwill”. A circular cancellation stamp beneath Zangwill’s note is dated August 27, 1900.

Israel Zangwill (1864-1926) was a British author at the forefront of Zionism during the 19th century. Some of his notable works include: The Big Bow Mystery (1892), Children of the Ghetto (1892), and The Melting Pot (1908).
