Description: Fanny Davenport was an American stage actress who performed with the influential Augustin Daly Company and in her own company. She had success with the French playwright Victorien Sardou’s Fedora and in playing roles that Sarah Bernhardt had played on the Continent. Davenport signed her name in full with a flourish across a 2 ½” x 4”  card. It is also dated in her hand: “1894”.
