Description: In this 2-page autograph letter signed, Hartley states in part: “I enclose… a photo of a mantel piece that I modelled… it is put up in a music room in Roswell Manor – Geo. Inness Jr. Montclair New Jersey. It is a little distorted owing to the fact that the photographer was obliged to take it from the floor on account of the chandelier being in the way…”
Hartley seems to be getting approval of the Montclair Commission… “please place it with the other photos that I forwarded last week for the inspection of the commission”.
