Description: We offer an original chromolithograph by Clay, Cosack and Company of an elaborate sewing machine cabinet. The image is 13 ¼” x 9 ¾” on a sheet of heavy paper which measures 19 ½” x 14”. The print is titled across the lower margin: “Sewing Machine, Wilson Sewing Machine Company, Clay, Cosack & Co, Cromo-Lith. Buffalo, N. Y.” Item #PR00363.

 Printed for “Treasures of Art, Industry and Manufacture Represented in the American Centennial Exhibition at Philadelphia 1876” edited by C. B. Norton and published by Cosack & Company, Buffalo, NY in 1877. This series of images were some of the finest chromolithographic work made in America at the time. The rich color, crisp details and exacting proportions are quite pleasing to modern sensibilities as well. 

Condition: The image is clean and crisp with good color. The margins are full and free from any adhesive, though soiled with short edge tears and creases.
