The silversmithing firm was founded in 1822 by William Gale (1799-1867). He was succeeded in business by his son William Gale Jr. (1825-1885), who, after a few years, sold the business to Dominick & Haff.
Condition: Old professional repair at one side of “waist” of pedestal, otherwise good condition.
