Simeon DeWitt was the first Surveyor General of New York. He created the first definitive map of the state in 1802… a large wall map. This smaller version he produced two years later to reach a wider audience.
Map measures: 22″ x 27 1/2″ which folds into a 7 3/4″ x 5″ book. Item #AM00328
Condition: Recto has a few scattered spots, linen on verso has scattered foxing. Generally very good in well-worn paper and leather covered boards.
