Description: This imposing image of Washington was engraved by James Heath in 1800 after the 1797 painting by Gilbert Stuart. This engraving was published in London on February 1st, less than two months after Washington’s death.

Platemark measures: 22″ x 14″ on a 25″ x 18″ sheet of wove paper. Item #PR00531

Condition: Two horizontal creases, some wrinkling in blank margins, overall lightly toned, otherwise good condition.
