Brown cloth over boards with gilt-stamping on spine and an image of a bird in gilt on front board, 380 pages, plus 141 plates of birds. “Comprising detailed descriptions of all the animals hitherto observed within the state of New-York, with brief Notices of those occasionally found near its borders, and accompanied by appropriate illustrations.” Wear at extremities, scattered foxing and water staining, most plates are clean.
