Printed paper spine and plain paper over boards, page edges deckled, many pages uncut, illustrated with 7 stipple-engraved portraits, the portrait of John Kemble is loose but present. Title continues: “Containing Sketches of the Lives, Productions, &c. of All the Principal Managers, Dramatists, Composers, Commentators, Actors, and Actresses, of the United Kingdom: Interspersed with Several Original Anecdotes; and Forming a Concise History of the English Stage.” Covers are heavily worn at extremities, especially along spine, staining on covers, front board loosening, scattered foxing on interior, portrait of John Kemble is loose but present.
