Half red leather with red cloth over boards, gilt decoration in compartments on spines, top edges gilt, other edges deckled, marbled end papers. This set is number 127 of a limited edition of 950. Novels include: Handley Cross (Vols I & II), Hillingdon Hall (Vol. III), Hawbuck Grange (Vol. IV), Mr. Sponge’s Sporting Tour (Vols V & VI), Ask Mamma (Vols VII & VIII), Plain or Ringlets (Vol. IX), Mr. Facey Romford’s Hounds (Vol. X). Illustrations by John Leech. Spine leather toned, some bumped/rubbed corners, minor wear at extremities of a few volumes, a few have minor staining on covers, many uncut pages in each volume.
