Full leather with gilt-stamped red leather spine label, pp. v, [1], 351. This printing was the last edition issued during Hamilton’s lifetime and the first to include the text of the Constitution and the first 11 Amendments, as well as additional essays by Hamilton under the pseudonym “Pacificus”. Covers stained and worn at extremities, staining on text block edges, previous owner’s name and brief notes on front free end paper, several instances of small stains in interior, generally clean pages though.
