Gilt-stamped green cloth over boards, 374 pages, plus 4 pages of ads dated November, 1872, illustrated with 7 heliotype plates (3 of which are foldout), doesn’t have misprint “htat” on p. 208 which is found in the 2nd issue. Covers stained, wear along extremities, staining on text block edges, hinges cracked but still attached, scattered instances of foxing, pen and pencil marks (mostly pencil) scattered throughout, especially in Index.
