Size: 10 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Half leather with gilt-stamped gray paper over boards, 21 pages, “hand illumined”, frontispiece portrait of Hubbard. This is number 110 in an edition of 940 and is signed by Elbert Hubbard (Fra Elbertus) on a preliminary page. Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915) was an influential proponent of the Arts & Crafts movement and he and his wife were two of the passengers who died aboard the RMS Lusitania when it was sunk by a German submarine off the coast of Ireland in 1915.
