Size: 8 7/8″ x 5 1/2″. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Full leather with gilt-stamped black leather spine label, 330 pages, does not include the volume with the plates. A note in period ink on front free end paper reads: “Barnard, VT Solon Danforth’s Book The property of the 2d Regiment 3d Brigade of 1st Division of the Vermont Militia 1828”. Wear at spine ends and corners, some damage to leather on boards, front hinge is cracked but still attached with the leather binding, scattered water staining, still highly readable.
