Size: 8 3/8″ x 5″. 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Two volumes bound in gilt-stamped leather over boards, “Farnell Family” gilt-stamped near bottom of front boards of both volumes. Part I printed the same year (1791) as first edition by Johnson, 162 pages, numerous instances of pencil check marks/minor notations in margins. Part II: “Combining Principle and Practice” is a stated fifth edition,178 pages, also has numerous instances of pencil check marks in margins. Neither volume has the half-title nor the ads.
