Description / Comments:
Limited Numbered Edition. Size: 4to. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. This is one of 100 copies in hardcover; it is not numbered (that space is blank), but Francois Dolmetsch has inscribed and signed on the limitation page in ink: “My apologies for a slightly imperfect copy of the book but in memory of a fascinating afternoon pregnant with historical coincidence.” The name of the person he is presenting the book to is not mentioned in the inscription, nor is there a date. The imperfection he mentions seems to be some exposure to water, for the dust jacket was stuck to the boards in a few spots, and the black rear end paper “ran” a little on the side and bottom edges, and there is a damp stain on the inside of the jacket. This is Dolmetsch’s first book of his photography and it only b & w photographs, no text. Black cloth over boards, unpaginated (60 pages), no date but circa 1980, 56 photographs of nudes; no date of publication or publisher. In a b & w pictorial dust jacket. Jacket is scuffed, bottom corners bumped, previously mentioned damp stain inside jacket, bumped a little at spine ends, a horizontal crease running along bottom edge front & back. There are remnants of paper from the inside of the jacket on both front and back, and some sort of spots along top edges of boards (I don’t think mildew – no odor at all). This all sounds worse than it is. A very nice, intriguing inscription. Illustrator: Dolmetsch, Francois. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 2 lbs 6 oz. Category: Art & Design; Books; Photography.
