Description: This extremely sculptural roast carving fork has two steel tines, reminiscent of steer horns, and a 940 silver handle in the Aztec pattern.
Verso of handle is stamped “Taxco 940” and has Hector Aguilar’s conjoined “HA” logo.
Fork weighs a total of 7.05 troy ounces and is 12 5/8″ long. Item #DA00470
Hector Aguilar (1905-1986) apprenticed with William Spratling and worked as his store manager. In 1948 he opened his own jewelry/silver business in Taxco…Taller Borda, which remained open until Aguilar’s retirement in 1966.
Condition: A few tiny nicks and scratches on verso of handle from normal use and storage. Generally very good.
