Description: German composer and violinist, Julius Eichberg (1824-1893), signed this hand-written musical quotation from “Good Night Señor Balthazar”, part of his 1862 opera, The Doctor of Alcantara. Though Eichberg was born in Germany, he spent most of his career in Boston, Massachusetts where he founded the Boston Conservatory of Music in 1867. He is best remembered for his three operettas: The Rose of Tyrol, The Two Cadis, and A Night in Rome.

Condition: Toning around edges and a wee bit light, otherwise in very good condition.
