Size: 10 3/4″ x 8 1/2″. 4-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Four volumes: half gilt-stamped black leather with black cloth over boards, top edges gilt, other edges marbled, marbled end papers, extensively illustrated with half-tone portraits. “A Record of Achievements of the People of the Hudson and Mohawk Valleys in New York State, Included Within the Present Counties of Albany, Rensselaer, Washington, Saratoga, Montgomery, Fulton, Schenectady, Columbia and Greene.” All volumes have wear at extremities, some scratches on covers, text block of Vol. I is no longer even, all pages firmly attached, front hinge of Vol. III is still firmly attached, though the text block has “cracked” at pages 978-979, signature there is loosening but still attached.
