Description: Famed German composer, conductor, violinist, and pianist Richard Strauss (1864-1949) boldly signed this 1 1/2″ x 4″ slip of paper (sight size).
Strauss was a leading composer of the late Romantic and early modern eras, and is considered a successor to Franz Liszt and Richard Wagner. He found his greatest success with his tone poems and operas, including Don Juan (1889), Death and Transfiguration (1890), and Salome (1905). He achieved international fame during his lifetime and composed from the age of six almost until his death.
Tastefully framed with a portrait image of an aged Strauss to: 9″ x 12 3/4″. Item #A01202
Condition: Slight fold line, otherwise very good condition with a large, clear signature (not examined out of frame).
