Description: Adolf Galland, the subject of Fighter General: The Life of Adolf Galland, has signed a “Special Autographed Copy” label on the front free end paper of the book alongside the two authors: Raymond F. Toliver and Trevor J. Constable.
Adolf Galland (1912-1996) “began WWII as a lieutenant and squadron commander, flying biplanes. He ended the war as a Lieutenant General”. He flew 705 combat missions, and fought on the Western Front and in the Defence of the Reich. On four occasions, he survived being shot down, and he was credited with 104 aerial victories, all of them against the Western Allies.
Gilt-stamped black cloth over boards, 355 pages, illustrated with black and white images. In an illustrated dust jacket. Published in 1990 by AmPress Publishing in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. 9 3/8″ x 6 1/4″. Item #A01758R
