Previous owner’s book-plate tipped in on front paste down. 19th century rebind in full gilt-stamped leather, all edges gilt, marbled end papers, 160 pages, text in French. Bookplate of Thomas Maitland, Lord Dundrennan (1792-1851) a Scottish lawyer and judge who served as Solicitor General for Scotland and was a Member of Parliament. Maitland was known to have amassed a large antiquarian book collection during his lifetime. Corners bumped and worn, edges of spine rubbed, covers have a few scuffs. Quantity Available: 1.
