This book documents the Shanxi and Shaanxi Hall in Sheqi County, Henan Province. This site is a famous “traveling guild hall” build by Shanxi and Shaanxi merchants during the Qing Dynasty (1756-1892). It is renowned for its elaborate wood carving, stone carving, and high quality glazed tile decorations, often referred to as the “first hall under heaven”.
