Size: 10″ x 6 1/4″. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Half gilt-stamped black leather with gray cloth over boards, the number “3” is stamped on spine along with the title, 274 pages, includes catalogues of atlases and maps, engravings, etc., coins and medals, etc. Wear at extremities, especially corners and spine ends, bookplate on front paste-down dedicating this book to Judge [Hiram] Denio “From the Regents of the University, Ex-Officio Trustees of the State Library, in Behalf of the State of New-York”, along with Hiram Denio’s printed name label. Hiram Denio (1799-1871) was Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals from 1856 to 1857; and from 1862 to 1865.
