Description / Comments:
Size: 4to. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Second Edition, Revised and Enlarged, one of a series from the hallmark Photographic Collection celebrating the history and art of photography. Blue gilt stamped cloth over boards, 590 pages, And Notes, Bibliography, Index, 499 illustrations, including 448 in tritone, 48 in full-color, and 3 in duotone. This copy is in very nice condition except that some fool spilled something that dribbled along parts of the fore edge of text block and faintly on to the blank margin of those pages which are affected (do not affect images at all). In a pictorial dust jacket that is lightly scuffed/scratched, very lightly bumped at corners and spine ends. This is a heavy book and may require additional postage. “This is the most comprehensive study ever attempted of a vast and important subject: the modern era of American photography from the mid-1880s to the present. This authoritative volume presents a new perspective on the history of American photography that will be of interest to general audiences and scholars alike. This new edition is nearly fifty percent larger than the first. The entire text has been revised, and a great number of new artists, images, and themes have been included. The reference sections have also been enlarged.” Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 10 lbs 0 oz. Category: Photography; ISBN: 0810963787. ISBN/EAN: 9780810963788. Inventory No: 010951.
