Description: This albumen cabinet photograph of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Albany, NY was taken by the Notman Photographic Co. The image captures the church at an angle with the steep spire and proud facade at the left and a view of the length of the building partially hidden behind a row of barren trees. Some scattered piles of snow can be seen on the roof and sidewalk. This building was erected in 1803, the second of three incarnations of the church.
“The Notman Photographic Co. __ Albany, N.Y.” is printed at the lower blank margin of the mount and Notman’s illustrious backmark is on the verso. The word “COPY” is blind-stamped at the bottom blank margin of the photo. Overall 6 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Item #P00205
