Description: In this one-page autograph letter signed, Leonard writes in appreciation of the letter writer’s comments about his work: “It sounds as though my people are as real to you as they are to me and that’s heartening.” He writes that his next book, Pronto, takes place in Miami Beach and Rapallo, Italy. He also mentions “having a good time” writing a movie script for William Friedkin (which never came to fruition). Signed, “Take care, / Elmore”

Written on an 11” x 8 ½” sheet of stationery imprinted “Elmore Leonard 2192 Yarmouth Rd., Bloomfield Village, MI 48301” and dated August 25, ‘92. Item #A02064

Elmore Leonard (1925-2013) was a highly successful crime fiction writer whose works were made into or adapted for films and television shows, such as 3.10 to Yuma (1957, 2007), Get Shorty (1995, 2017), Jackie Brown (1997), and Out of Sight (1998) to name a few.
