Description: Chrysler writes to a Mr. Erold B. Black of Lincoln, Nebraska in this friendly letter of 1937. The letter reads in part: “It was very thoughtful of you to write me about the current series of articles in the Saturday Evening Post… At the present time no plans have been made for any further publication beyond their appearance in the Saturday Evening Post, but if we should decide to put it out in book form will be glad to advise you.”
Typed and signed on a 10 1/2″ x 7 1/4″ sheet of Walter P. Chrysler’s personal stationery imprinted with the Chrysler Building’s Manhattan address. Item #A01960
Walter Chrysler, Sr. (1875-1940) began his automotive career as head of the Buick Motor Company. By 1925 he founded his namesake business, Chrysler Corporation. In 1930 he completed construction of the Chrysler Building in New York City.
Condition: Mailing fold lines, marks from a paperclip at upper left, small stain at blank right margin. Generally very good condition with a bold signature.
