Gertrude Atherton (1857-1948) was a California author of numerous novels, essays, short stories, and newspaper articles. She was an outspoken suffragist, as well as, white supremacist.

Condition: Mounting residue on verso, a toned rectangle is evidence of having been stored with a newspaper clipping. Good condition with a large, bold signature.
