Written on a 4 ½” x 6” slip of light blue paper.

Ellen Terry (1847-1928) was an English stage and film actress. Her significant Shakespearean roles were Portia (The Merchant of Venice), Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing), Ophelia (Hamlet), and Desdemona (Othello) among others. She was also a subject of Julia Margaret Cameron’s photographs. Item #A01940

Condition: The four corners have black mounting tabs still attached, one vertical crease, generally good condition.
