Description: This jolly original black and white photograph commemorates the 1922 win of the best heifer shown at the Taunton, England Christmas Show. The ebullient bowler-hatted owner shows off his heifer, freshly festooned with ribbons on her neck.

A handwritten caption on the mount below the photograph reads: “Taunton Xmas… Show 1922. First Prize in Class. Cup for Best Heifer in the Show. Champion Cup for the Best Bullock of any age or sex. Shown by T. S. Mead. Maidenbrook. Taunton Second and Reserve Champion at Plymouth”.

Condition: Mount has some spotting below photo, otherwise very good condition.
