Description
Description: According to an ink stamp and pencil note on the verso of this 1920’s photograph, it shows the view of Central Avenue from the roof of the Westward Ho-Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. The ink stamp further indicates that if the photo is used for publication, “full credit must be given to the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe RY, Edward Kemp, Photographer”. From this bird’s-eye view, one can see a neat and tidy tree-lined street with the stately columned facade of the Central Methodist Church on the right and misty mountains rising on the horizon.
