Description: French tenor Charles Dalmorès (1871-1939) typed and exuberantly signed this brief, kind letter to a fan in early 1913. The letter reads in part: “I am very sorry, that I was not able to see you in Dallas, because I was oblige[d] to take the train after the performance. I hope to be more fortunate next winter if I come again in Dallas for a Concert. My best thanks for your little note…”
Typed on an 11″ x 8 1/2″ sheet of “Dalmorès” imprinted stationery. Includes original “Dalmorès” imprinted transmittal envelope which is in two pieces. Item #A01543
Dalmorès enjoyed a successful career as a tenor, touring on both sides of the Atlantic for the first two decades of the twentieth century.
Condition: Mailing folds, otherwise very good condition with a large, strong signature.
