Description: In 1905 Macmillan Co. of New York published Hunt’s book Pre-Raphaelitism and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. In this January 2, 1906 letter signed (text in secretary’s hand, signed by Hunt) he questions the obstacles of sending a U.S. publication abroad, but requests “…your sending me a copy of Pre-Raphaelitism that I may be prepared in the event of a second edition with corrections those small errors which always occur in a first printing.”

Letter is written on a folded 7″ x 9″ sheet of “linen” stationery with the embossed address: “18 Melbury Road Kensington, W.” Item #A01669

William Holman Hunt (1827-1910) was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, which included Dante Gabriel Rossetti and John Everett Millais.
