Description: George William Curtis (1824-1892) was an influential American writer, editor and public speaker during the second half of the 19th century. He often spoke in favor of African American equality and Civil Rights. We offer a late 1860’s or early 1870’s CDV portrait, from life, of a seated Curtis.
