Description: We offer a small ink drawing by Victor Clyde Forsythe, it is 3” x 4” on ivory wove paper, signed “To Arthur Proulx from Vic Forsythe.” Forsythe lived in New Rochelle, NY and shared a studio with Norman Rockwell. He is best known as a cartoonist having created such great comic strips as "Joe Jinks" (1918-1938), "Divot Diggers" (1929-1940), "Way Out West" (1934-1936) and "The Little Woman" (1935-36). The main characters of his strips are often balding agitated men with cigars. He also worked as an illustrator and painter of western landscapes. Item #A00670. Condition: Fine condition.
