Special Limited Numbered Edition, first issue in this format. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Copy number 564 of a limited edition of seven hundred and seventy-five copies (700 of which were for sale), Leather gilt stamped spine and marbled paper over boards, deckle edges, color frontispiece of four trout flies, vii, [3], 134 pages. Corners bumped with wear, leather on spine disintegrating and pretty much gone (binding however remains intact). Interior is in very nice condition. “With the introduction of the European Brown Trout to American waters, George LaBranche is credited as the first American angler to master the art of dry fly fishing to catch these magnificent game fish.
