Size: Octavo (standard book size). Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact, bar wear to spine ends and corners. A salesman’s sample for retail jewelry advertising. A jeweler who purchased this book could use the cuts shown when submitted with a coupon and a small fee (coupon book not included). There is space at the end of the book for recording sales calls. No date (a penciled note next to one ad cut reads “cut used June 14/02” so this is most likely from the early 1900’s), dark green gilt stamped cloth over boards, all edges gilt, 15 pages of text, unpaginated advertisements on one side of page only (about 100-200), 26 pages of “Catch-Lines and Headings” which is ad copy without an illustration (also one side of page only). Corners and spine ends bumped, covers spotted/soiled, front end papers soiled, some pencil notations on some of the ad copy and cuts (“good,” “used”), and a list in period manuscript on rear end paper of “cuts in stock.” Quantity Available: 1.
